Tony Haley enters his 11th season at the helm of the WC baseball program.
The Quakers struggled in 2008 (10-25) and 2009 (9-24), but have a number of talented newcomers entering the program ready to turn things around.
Haley hopes to get the WC baseball program back on the right track.
"We have a solid core of senior leaders and we hope our talented group of new guys can get us to the top of the OAC," Haley said.
Haley earned OAC Coach-of-the-Year honors in 2005 after leading Wilmington to a 22-15 record and the team's first-ever OAC Tournament appearance.
In addition, the 2005 Quakers ranked first in the OAC and 14th nationally with a .348 team batting average. For the fourth consecutive season, the Quakers finished above the .500 mark in 2005 and also recorded their second 20-plus win season in three years.
In 2003, Haley led the Quakers to a 24-14 record. The .632 winning percentage ranked third on the school's all-time single season list and the 24 wins are the highest total in Haley's tenure.
In 2002, Haley led Wilmington to a 19-18 finish marking the program's first winning season since 1992. Bouncing back from a 7-30 record in 2001, the team had the fifth-best turnaround among all NCAA programs.
Overall, Haley's career record at Wilmington stands at 157-200-1 (.439).
Away from the field, Haley works for the Ohio Department of Transportation and has umpired baseball for over 28 years.
Haley resides in Wilmington with his wife Pam. They have three children; Ryan, Parker and Kelli Jo. Ryan and his wife Katie live in Phoenix, Ariz. Parker is a senior at Ohio University and Kelli Jo is a freshman at Wilmington College.

Blake Haley enters his sixth season as an assistant coach for the Wilmington baseball program.
In his five seasons at Wilmington, the Quakers' record is 73-102. In his first three seasons, WC had an overall record over .500 (54-53). Over the last two seasons, the Quakers have struggled, going 19-49 in that span.
"We have gone through some growing pains with some young guys the last couple years, but now our guys have experience at the collegiate level and we should be back to the top of the OAC where we belong," Haley said. "We've had a couple good recruiting years in a row, so as a coaching staff we are expecting good things this year."
The Quakers finished with a record of 22-15 in his first season and advanced to the OAC tournament for the first time in school history.
Haley graduated from Ohio University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in public relations. He currently resides in Wilmington and is employed as the sports editor at the Gazette News-Current and Fairborn Daily Herald newspapers. He also coordinates the sports sections for two weekly newspapers, the Beavercreek and Bellbrook Times.

Paul Krause is in his second stint as the pitching coach for the Quakers. Krause served as the pitching coach for three years when head coach Tony Haley took over the program. After a couple years off, Krause is now entering his third year in his second stint with the WC pitchers.
"Paul's knowledge of pitching is really helpful for all our pitchers, especially the young guys," Haley said.
Krause is a Wilmington College alumni and pitched for Cincinnati Reds' Hall-of-Famer and Wilmington College Hall-of-Famer Brooks Lawrence.
