In three seasons, K.C. Hunt has taken the Wilmington College men’s basketball program to national prominence.
In Coach Hunt's first two seasons, the Quakers posted a combined 32-20 record and earned berths in two consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.
In 2009-10, Wilmington won a school-record 22 games and captured its first OAC Tournament title and made its first appearance in the NCAA Championship, where the Quakers advanced to the second round before losing to No. 10 Eastern Mennonite University.
“The Wilmington College basketball program is in a very good position,” Hunt said. “We’ve got a young nucleus that returns next year after graduating three incredible seniors. I think we’re poised to keep this program going in a winning direction.”
Hunt’s team plays 40 minutes of intense basketball that is fueled by relentless effort on both ends of the court. And it all starts with high-pressure defense.
The 2009-10 Quakers were at or near the top of all the OAC’s key defensive categories and ranked No. 4 in the nation with a 50-percent team field goal shooting average.
Hunt played collegiate basketball at Wichita State University, and ended his career as the Shockers' all-time assists leader.
Hunt also is head coach of the WC men's golf team.
A 1995 graduate of The Ohio State University, Hunt coached at St. Lawrence University, Dublin Coffman and Perry high schools prior to joining Wilmington’s staff in 2004.

Zach Broermann joined the WC coaching staff in August 2008.
A 2008 Wilmington grad, Broermann was a four-year member of the Quakers basketball team. Broermann was an All-OAC selection for the Quakers and was one of the top three-point and free throw shooters in team history.
"We're excited to have Zach on our staff," WC head coach K.C. Hunt said. "For the past five years, he has been an integral part of our program. His continued involvement is something we are very excited about."
Broermann also is an assistant coach with the Wilmington College men's golf team.
