Wilmington College junior heavyweight Adam Salyers will return to the mat when the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championship gets under way Friday morning at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

ALLIANCE — Wilmington junior Adam Salyers punched his ticket for the NCAA Championship by winning the heavyweight title in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship at Mount Union Saturday. Sophomore 125-pounder Donny Herrington finished second.

Donny Herrington had the start and Adam Salyers covered the finish, but the middle matches belonged to No. 28 Mount Union as the Purple Raiders pinned Wilmington, 31-9, in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet at Fred Raizk Arena Wednesday night.
