The Wilmington College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is calling for a WC Whiteout when Wilmington hosts Otterbein in men's basketball action 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Wilmington fans are being asked to pack the stands and wear white as the Quakers take their first-place OAC ranking to the court to do battle with the Cardinals.

"We just want to promote team spirit and the men's basketball team," said SAAC President Marianne McGoron. "We get all these people at games, but they sit in their separate groups. We're trying to unite Wilmington students."

The Whiteout mentality, McGoron said, should be prevalent at all Wilmington athletics events.

"It's not just about basketball. There is a wrestling match tonight (Tuesday). We want people to care about WC athletics, and we want them to show their support," McGoron said.
