For the second time in a week, Wilmington College junior post Kortney Kin has earned All-America honors. Kin today was named All-America by Women's DIII News.
Kin, who was recently named All-America by the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association, was an honorable mention selection to the Women's DIII News All-America Team. "It is a great honor for Kortney, her teammates, our team and Wilmington College," Wilmington head coach Jerry Scheve said. "If anyone ever wonders if hard work and dedication pay off, all they need to do is take a look at Kortney Kin." Kin (Upper Sandusky/Riverdale) led the Ohio Athletic Conference in scoring this season (21.1 ppg) and ranked second with 8.4 rebounds per contest. She finished the season with 572 points, the third-highest single-season total in team history. She has scored 1,042 career points. Kortney is not only an outstanding player, she is an outstanding teammate," Scheve said. "She understands that individual awards like this are the direct result of a team playing well together as a unit. She has not only made herself a better player; she also has helped those around her become better players."
