AUSTINTOWN — Wilmington College senior Callen Martin has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today.

For the second time this season, Martin (Cincinnati/Finneytown) ran the nation’s fastest 55-meter dash at the OAC Relays Saturday. Martin’s 7.05 was a click faster than the 7.06 she ran at the Capital Purple and White Invitational on Dec. 12.

“Callen is more focused this year than I have ever seen, and it is paying off for her,” Wilmington head coach Ron Combs said. “She has worked really hard. Nobody deserves the success more than she does.”

Martin is a five-time All-American and has twice been the 55-meter indoor national runner-up.
