AUSTINTOWN — Wilmington College sophomore Megan Higgins has been named to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Team, the league office announced today.
Higgins (Washington Court House/Miami Trace) was an honorable mention selection. “This is a tremendous honor for Megan, to be recognized as one of the top players in a very good conference,” Wilmington head coach Jessie Loeffelholz said. “Megan was determined going into this season that she was going to be successful. She worked hard, on and off the court, and had a great season.” Higgins posted a 12-4 singles record this spring and went 6-3 in OAC matches. She was 5-4 in doubles action. “Megan is a talented player, but she also is a great leader and role model,” Loeffelholz said. “She received the co-coaches award for her work on and off the court and for all the effort she put into the team and tennis program. I am very proud of her and look forward to seeing her continue her growth on the court her junior season.”
